Facebook Emoji Design

Wired, Robbie Gonzales

In this light, Facebook’s Reactions lineup actually makes a lot of sense. By zooming in on the sunny side of the emotional spectrum, Facebook has prioritized the conveyance of affirmative, sympathetic, enthusiastic, and comforting nuances of positivity over the communication of a broad range of human sentiments.

Like I said on the podcast and before many times. The dislike button is a hard design for Facebook. Emoji makes sense because we use them everyday when we communicate. And it’s fast way to interact on the smartphone or mobile device. But also gives people more emotions to choose from because we humans, have so much emotions.
